Showing our love of drones at the holidays

We had tons and tons of old props lying around. I had the idea a while ago that we could turn those props into different types of decorations. Originally we thought we might use them as garland, but there didn’t seem to be a practical way to add them to the tree.

Then I had the idea that we could make wreaths!

I grabbed a few supplies from the craft store, and soon the decorations took off. Although I mostly meant this as a joke, the wreaths turned out pretty well! I think we’ll be bringing them back next year.

Once our wreaths we done, we turned to the Christmas tree. Smitty had the idea to add LED light strings that we use for building Tiny Whoop gates. I wanted to add flair to some props by drawing on them. I added snowmen, trees – and then our club’s logo.

Editing the videos was a blast. I love that drone racing is also teaching me new skills like video editing and working on my social media feeds.
