Misadventures in Betaflight launch control

Launch control is awesome!

Our Safety Third crew heard about launch control in Betaflight, and we were excited to give it a try.

Betaflight launch control holds your quad on the starting line pitched forward and ready to go. You don’t have to worry about holding the pitch forward or losing control. When you bring the throttle up, you explode off the start line.

It’s an incredible rush.

You’ll need to experiment with what pitch to hold your quad at, and where you want the throttle to become active. It may not be useful in all races – such as if you have to launch into a very complicated, technical section.
